The climate in the city of Hoover was heated in 2007, both from a temperature perspective and a people perspective.  Issues that people took very seriously were posted on a local public forum maintained by one of the local newspapers.  Some issues that were posted were deemed to be "against the rules" of the forum, and were thus deleted by the administrators and moderators of that forum.

One could always find a commonality with all the deleted posts:  they were considered to be biased against the city of Hoover.  As one of THE Hoover Forum users stated: not being able to voice your opinion against the government was one of the founding principles of the United States.  The practice of censorship in that forum was blatant.

Soon the users of the forum banded together and headed to form their own forum, one where they could speak freely without seeing their words disappear within sixty minutes, one where controversy was welcomed, one where truth would prevail over censorship.  THE Hoover Forum went online on 07/07/07, a lucky day for the residents of Hoover.

Join us in frank, honest talk.  Play by the rules.  We'll let you speak.  We may not always agree with you, but we will always let you have your say.
