Dr. Joseph Dean.  He was part of a board that included Kay Witt.  I cannot for the life of me imagine why she voted for it.

Dr. Dean also spoke out against giving RP a raise from $84,000 to $95,000.  He gave a statement saying that he was disappointed/appalled that Hoover schools would pay that kind of money for a football coach.

Bill Veitch was also a part of that board.  Can't remember who else.  Donna Frazier?  Don Hecklinski?  Robert Bumpus?  Tom Defnall?

Maybe he should be called back to oversee Hoover High School from A to Z. I agree with him on MTV but disagree on Propst getting a raise at the time. Propst has earned his money from a football standpoint.  Plus he has helped raise more money than probably any high school coach in history. MTV was the biggest mistake in Hoover school history that could have been stopped with just a few votes.

I, for one, remember him.  A man of solid integrity.  Reckon that has something to do with why he is no longer on the Board?

Where is the money, Bucsfan?  Any of it helping to pay teacher's salaries?

Kay Witt was not on the Board when MTV was approved.  Donna Fraiser had taken her place and voted for MTV.  Also voting for MTV was Veitch, Defnall (he was in town) and Hecklinski.  Dean voted against.

First, they should have GONE into coaching.  Second, I was referring to all the money he has raised.  Who got the money?  It sure as heck (saving the filter some work) didn't go to the school.

No, it goes directly to the football program. It pays for the charter PLANE they are taking to Ohio, etc.
