1. I am considering moving to the country to build me a home for my retirement years.  I have always wanted to raise some cattle.  Does anyone have any suggestions as to what would be a good breed to invest in?  Any breeders I should contact or avoid?
 
2. I am also looking for property in the Gatlinburg - Pigeon Forge area.  Woudl prefer a chalet type cabin, but would consider a condo.  Any suggestions?

Can't go wrong with Simmentals.  Contact either the Dallas or Monroe County Extension Service for more info.  Good people who know their stuff.  Speak and listen slowly, though.  They're not stupid, but they are REALLY southern.
 
Gatlinburg is just a big fat, ugly tourist trap.  Look in Maggie Valley, NC instead.  Same mountains.  Eastern slope.
