I am a little disturbed by the fact that the city council APPOINTS the school board, but our mayor says the city shouldn't be INVOLVED in what the school board does. If the BOE is not accountable to the city who are they accountable to? And if USA today is carrying the story, obviously it has gotten bigger than just Hoover!

Well, according to Richard Bishop, Rush talked to him right after meeting with Gary Ivey, Council President.

Well, isn't this great. The BOE does their own thing and gives no explantions. The CC appointed these people but they have nothing to do with them as they are separate according to our mayor.

Who is in charge?

From the USA Today story . . .

" . . .Pointer also said in the July 20 report that the lawyers working on the case have conducted 20 interviews, but had not interviewed Propst. Bill Veitch, a school board member, told the newspaper he thinks the investigation will clear the school. "I don't think anybody has done anything wrong," Veitch said.

Has Bill been on a 3 year cruise ?
