Title: Today Fairfield, tomorrow Hoover Post by superdolfan on 08/02/07 at 12:48pm The outcome of this case could spell trouble for other parts of the state: http://www.nbc13.com/gulfcoastwest/vtm/news.apx.-content-articles-VTM-2007-08-02-0006.html It's being tried at the Bessemer courthouse. Does anyone who of anyone that works there that might not only have an interest in the outcome, but also a front row seat? |

Well, then, I guess HSCIN can sit next to our esteemed member who works there. How quaint! |

RUT-RO Isn't Ms. Petelos a judge there????? |
Title: Re: Today Fairfield, tomorrow Hoover Post by radar49 on 08/02/07 at 3:13pm Yes, Judge Teresa Petelos is not only a circuit judge of the Bessemer division, but the presiding judge (meaning "top dog" of the courthouse in layman's terms). Jill Ganus (wife of school board member Veitch) is a district judge there (Bessemer). And, last (and actually least), Veitch is an assistant district attorney for Bessemer. Political scoop is that Tony wants to run for Governor of our state in 2010, but he is up to his eyeballs in what he allowed or perpetuated with our current city council and board of education, as well as his good buddy, RP, who keeps no secrets from him. I'm sure he is doing all he can to distance himself. No chance to run for Governor if he cannot hold onto the mayorship of Hoover in June 2008. Let the polls do the talking on this one. No single person can accomplish what we, as citizens, can do at the polls. |
