Title: Forum Layout
Post by Hoover Forum Administrator on 08/02/07 at 6:43am

THE Hoover Forum is set up for Private Messages (PM) as a method of communication.  The PM can be set to notify you if you have a message with a small pop-up.  To see your PM Mailbox, you can look at the top of each page, directly above the date and time you will see your user name and how many messages you have, and if any are new.  To access your PM Mailbox, simply click on your total message count and it will open it up.

To be notified of a new PM with the small pop-up, you can click on the button labeled "Profile".  Once you see your profile, select "Modify".  It will request that you enter your password again, then you will see a number of options.  The third option is PM Preferences.  Click that and at the bottom you will see a check box that reads "Enable Personal Message Popup?".  Check that box and every time you have a PM, a small pop-up window will come up.

Please check your PM's on a regular basis, as this is how the moderators will communicate with you.

Is there a way to put all the threads that have not been accessed for a few days in a folder that could be opened if anyone wants togo back and read them?  The boards are getting a bit cluttered.  Seems like everyone wants to be the thread starter.

Thanks for everything

We'll see what can be done.  What time frame would you be looking at?  A week, ten days, a month?  Let us know.

It was just a suggestion, not a demand.  Thought it might make it easier for you and the visitors.
