Title: Current problems lie in Rookie, Default Supt. Bolt Post by blast123 on 08/01/07 at 10:28pm Current board lacks maturity and sound judgement with the community mindedness of students, parents and Hoover High administrators. Bolt selected Craig for manipulation. Bolt stated that academics involvement, education background and supt. experience was not a qualifying criterion for a supt. I guess A.W. Bolt will be the next SUPERTENIENT. |

Hmm...interesting...can you elaborate on that? |
Title: Re: Current problems lie in Rookie, Default Supt. Post by DriveSouth on 08/01/07 at 10:41pm It's obvious isn't it? Bolt is eminenty qualified! (And Andy's butt is grass for the Bishop situation.) |
Title: Re: Current problems lie in Rookie, Default Supt. Post by blast123 on 08/01/07 at 11:00pm A.W. is not outstanding ( I think that is what you meant by eminently ) but provocative. |
Title: Re: Current problems lie in Rookie, Default Supt. Post by hoover1990 on 08/01/07 at 11:00pm Bolt wanted a high-paying job in the system. That was why he pushed for an inexperienced, educationally underqualified Superintendent. But he talked to too many people about it and his scheme leaked out. Jon Anderson alluded to it in one of his columns. |

Actually, I was being sarcastic (well, more like facetious), but you understood me well enough... |
Title: Re: Current problems lie in Rookie, Default Supt. Post by Walktall on 08/01/07 at 11:19pm I dont think anyone on this board has a shot in he double hockeysticks. This whole series of events is just too ugly and sticky. If you noticed the city council members are starting to backtrack and just might let RP go to save their butts. Regardless if you look at the big picture, the constituents of Hoover have nobody else to blame if they allow the mayor and the CC to remain. Remove the CC= Remove BOE |

Did you notice how Bolt TOTALLY put the responsibility for Bishop on Andy at the school board meeting when Bishop was fired? And anyone who was paying attention last summer knows it is not true. Andy had been interim Superintendent for 12 days when Sandra Spivey was hired as HR Director, leaving a vacancy at HHS. (She was not the first choice, remember. Connie Williams had recommended someone else, and had wanted SS to stay at HHS for stability.) Around 20 or so days later, rumors were circulating among vendors who work with the athletic department that a college teammate of Propst's would be the new principal. Wonder where they heard that? Andy didn't go out and recruit Bishop any more than my mother did. Propst recruited Bishop. The question is, why is Bolt hanging Bishop on Andy now? |
Title: Re: Current problems lie in Rookie, Default Supt. Post by DriveSouth on 08/01/07 at 11:54pm Because Bolt is a liar, a coward and a scoundrel and because he needs to deflect the spotlight from his involvement in all this. Also, to cover for his buddy Rush. See, here's the scenario: Andy (being somewhat courageous) begins the debriding by recommending Bishop's, uh, non-renewal. His ultimate plan being to eventually clear all the rotten tissue from the Corpus Hoover. Bolt, being an idiot, thinks to himself, "Self, if we go along with this, all them whining dipwad Hoover-Haters will be satisfied 'cause we got rid of somebody and then we can all sit back and enjoy some football, by God!" Rush is safe. America is safe. What Bolt didn't count on was that Bishop had a pair and wasn't going down without a fight. Bishop says, "Every other darn princ-ee-pal got fired from here got a big 'ol pile o' money, but I didn't get squat!" So, rather than make a Federal case out of it, Bishop takes it to Jefferson County Circuit Court instead, demanding the just compensation he deserves as a forceably removed administrator in the Hoover School System. Bolt says, "What the F***!!! Andy! What the h*** have you done!" because it never dawned on him in million years that Bishop might have the straight skinny on the Fat Boy and his minions, or that he would be disloyal and spill the beans. Or something like that... |
Title: Re: Current problems lie in Rookie, Default Supt. Post by blast123 on 08/02/07 at 12:26am Bolt is not going to let the BOE take this blame ( notwithstanding blatant micro-mismanagement). Where else is the responsibility going to lie. Either// Or?? Other seasoned supt. would have dismissed without time for rebuttal as board members had advised. Board Attorney will settle outside courts to prevent airing dirty laundry. Bishop gets paid; Bishop attorneys gets paid; And Prospt still has his secret. Now Hver School System is out thousands of dollars on more litigated cases. A.W. Bolt = Lawyer; litigation / S.Pointer = judge; investigative-litigation / Bishop = plaintiff;litigation / Sweeney = Lawyer; defendant. MORE LITIGATION IN 2 YEARS THAN IN PREVIOUS 16 YEARS. |

Title: Re: Current problems lie in Rookie, Default Supt. Post by happyimhere on 08/02/07 at 11:21am to Hoover 1990 It is widely known to the HHS employees that Rush is in charge at HHS. Sandra Spivey had to find out the hard way that she was second in comand as the principal. What Rush wants, Rush gets. Someone should check into the backgrounds of some the coaches he keeps at HHS. I know Dr.Spivey wanted to lets some of them go for thier lack of attention to duties beyond their coaching duties but Rush put a stop to it because he liked them as coaches. |
