Title: School Board Meeting being held today.
Post by Walktall on 07/19/07 at 12:36pm

The school board meeting has been changed to July 19 (Today) in order to take care of a few matters, the real truth is this meeting was moved forward to prevent the many Hoover citizens who have expressed concerns about the events at HHS to attend. The school board moved this meeting in order to limit the amount of citizens that would have attended on the 23rd.

Where do I signup to find out what the "real truth" is on everything? Is there an underground website? Do I need a secret decoder ring?

Anyway, what happened at the meeting?

Somebody help me out here, since I am out of town.  Are you saying that the meeting scheduled for Monday, July 23 was moved to tonight?  Is that what you are saying?  That those of us who planned to attend on Monday now don't have to bother anymore because the school board moved the meeting to tonight without notice?  Tell me that's not what you are saying.  Please.

The Regular Meeting will still be held Monday night at 5:30 p.m.  There was a Called Meeting at 5:00 p.m. today apparently to approve Brian Cain as Simmons Middle School principal and an assistant principal at Hoover who was not in attendance.

The Board also sold 2.8 acres near Shades Mountain Elementary to the city for $175,000 to develop a community center for the Shades Mountain area.

It appears that none of those actions could wait till Monday night.
